I wondered what you saw on such a cloudy rainy day. I hoped your trip wasn't a disappointment and it appears it wasn't. It is awesome on some of these spectacular Fall days at sunset as well. Maybe we'll have to give it a go one of these days. I love it up there.

How was the road?

book - we did some enjoying and then took a break from time to time to do some bad ole geocaching and then went back to enjoying... :) It was beautiful.

Myke - I worried about the road considering the soaking rain from the day before but even with it raining on us a bit on the way, the road was not a problem at all. Rocky parts aren't easily affected by the rain and the parts that are wet due to springs are still wet on rainy days. :) I said that backwards. And the inbetween stuff surprised me by how firm and somewhat dried out they were after just 12 hours or so.
